The cafe was located on East Road, making the name East Road Cafe a natural and memorable choice for the brand. The client wanted a logo that was big, bold and clean, with a strong visual presence that would work equally well on the cafe signage, printed materials and digital platforms.
With the direction already established, the focus was on creating a distinctive cafe logo design that felt modern, approachable and easy to recognise. The result was a simple and confident visual identity built around the cafe’s name.
Complete Brand Identity & Cafe Branding
The project developed beyond the logo into a complete brand identity package, including letterhead, business cards, social media assets and brand guidelines. These guidelines provided the client with a clear framework for using the logo, colours and visual elements consistently across their marketing.
I also created a visual concept for the cafe shopfront, showing how the brand colours, logo and tagline could be applied to the exterior. This helped the client visualise how the new identity would translate from the design screen into a real-world environment.
East Road Cafe opened in 2018 and continues to be a successful destination for coffee and lunch, showing the value of creating a strong, consistent brand identity from the beginning.
